Citilabs was asked by the Municipality of Collegno (Turin) to prepare a number of analyses related to the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. The technical tools used for the study were Cube Voyager software integrated with ESRI GIS solutions, and Multinet and Speed Profiles data supplied by TomTom, a leader in mapping and navigation. Due to the municipal administration’s equipment containing rich data, including TomTom’s Multinet routable graph integrated into Cube, accessibility analyses were carried out and results were crossed with the dataset of the resident population in order to determine the potential catchment area of specific facilities such as:
Further assessments were carried out in relation to 12 traffic-calmed areas provided by the administration. The scope of the assessments was to understand, compared to the data in the TomTom graph, the potential influence of these areas on the level of accessibility to the road network. Additionally, data supplied by three 2-way cameras located on the municipal territory were analyzed and compared to the speeds detected by TomTom data.
