Michael Clarke

President + Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Clarke is a transportation planner and engineer. He has over 30 years experience in the development and application of transportation models, one half of this in the United States and one half in Europe. Mr. Clarke is responsible for the overall leadership and vision of Citilabs. He holds master's degrees in transportation engineering and urban planning from the University of Michigan.

Arthur Leung

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Leung leads the finance, accounting and human resources teams at Citilabs. He is in charge of the company’s short term and long term financial strategy, and is responsible for accelerating operational growth in response to increasing market demand. Mr. Leung holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of San Francisco, and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Austen Duffy

Chief Technical Officer

Dr. Duffy leads the Product Development Team at Citilabs and is an expert in the fields of High Performance Computing (HPC), Numerical Optimization and Data Assimilation. He has previously worked as a civil servant leading the HPC Group at the Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate, in the defense industry as an HPC Software Architect, and as a Visiting Researcher at the National Institute of Aerospace. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from York College of Pennsylvania, an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Florida State University.

Chris Simons

Director of Solutions

Mr. Simons is a Professional Transportation Planner (PTP) with over 20 years of experience in travel demand forecasting, traffic engineering, and application of geographic information system technologies. He is responsible for customer support, consulting services, and assisting in advancement of Citilabs’ products. He holds a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Georgia Southern University (formerly Armstrong State College), and master’s degrees in transportation engineering and city planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Alex Fox

Director of Mobility Analytics Solutions

Mr. Fox is a Professional Engineer (PE) with over 13 years of experience managing and developing both predictive transportation models and practical data driven mobility solutions. Mr. Fox leads the Mobility Analytics Solutions team at Citilabs and is responsible for coordinating with existing and future clients across a variety of industries to innovate, develop, and implement technical solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from St. John’s University.

Jacob Asplund

Director of Streetlytics Engineering & Support

Mr. Asplund is a traffic modeler with 12 years of experience in transportation planning, travel demand modeling and traffic analysis. Mr. Asplund leads the Streetlytics Engineering team at Citilabs and is responsible for sourcing input data, model development, data processing, quality control, customer support and delivery for the core Streetlytics data products. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and Civil Engineering from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

Narasimha Rao Buddavarapu

Private Sector Business Development

Rao has over 25 years of experience in leading business development, marketing, sales, and engineering teams in numerous companies in USA and India. He specializes in establishing and nurturing high value sustainable partnerships and alliances. He is a graduate of Executive MBA program at Santa Clara University and has strong technology background.

Prior to Citilabs, Rao led the Go-To-Market activities at Esgyn, a Big Data database company selling on-prem and in-cloud data management software and solutions to enterprises. Earlier he worked at pioneering companies like Saraide/InfoSpace (consumer mobile/Internet applications) and established partnerships with several hundred Content Providers; Tibco (EAI and BPM) and worked on partnerships with companies like Oracle, Informix, Verifone; and HaL Computer Systems (64-bit SPARC computers). He led a couple of media companies as CEO – one got listed in Mumbai stock exchange. He is passionate about entrepreneurism and volunteers for several not-for-profit organizations.

Arif Janjua

Chairman

Arif Janjua has over 30 years experience in operational management and consulting in the software, mobile and internet services industry. As an operational manager, Arif was the CEO of idrive, a venture backed company in online storage services. Prior to that, he was at Infospace, initially as President of Consumer Services and later heading the Corporate Development function. He was instrumental in forging relationships with mobile operators and content providers around the world. In his consulting life, Arif was most recently a partner with the Boston Consulting Group. His clients included some of the leading technology companies and mobile operators around the globe. Arif received his Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Windsor, Canada, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
